Bob Tinucci[/caption] Bob Tinucci accepted the position of Illinois Regional Manager for the National Fire Sprinkler Association (NFSA) effective October 1, 2013. As of November, Tinucci fully completed the transition from fire chief at the Roselle Fire Department to his new NFSA position. Tinucci began his over 38-year fire protection career in 1974 as a firefighter with the Darien-Woodridge Fire Protection District. Over the years, Tinucci worked his way up through the ranks to become Fire Chief/Administrator, a position he held until his formal retirement in 2008. Finding it difficult to stay out of fire protection after retirement, in 2009, Bob went back to serving as Fire Chief, this time for Roselle, a position in which he held prior to NFSA. “The shift to this new position allows me to continue in an area I have been passionate about throughout my fire service career….fire and life safety,” states Tinucci. “My new role enables me to concentrate my efforts to enhance these priorities through the effective use and support of fire sprinklers.”  ]]>
