Viniello has now retired after years of dedicated service defending and progressing fire sprinklers and the industry. He leaves behind a legacy evidenced through thousands of newly fire sprinkler-protected buildings throughout the United States and a tremendous amount of successful activations that saved lives and property. During much of that time, Russ Fleming worked as vice president of NFSA. With Viniello’s retirement, Fleming now serves as the new president of NFSA and carries on the life’s work of Viniello. Fleming was present at this year’s kickoff meeting for the Illinois chapter on January 8th. Over 60 Illinois chapter members were in attendance to hear about the new programs and plans for the national organization that Fleming addressed with his “State of the Fire Sprinkler Industry” presentation. “It was great to have Russ in town and hear his plans and goals for NFSA in 2013 and the coming years,” says Tom Lia, executive director of the Northern Illinois Fire Sprinkler Advisory Board.  ]]>
